- References
- The Noriker horse, also called the Norico-Pinzgauer and historically known as the Pinzgauer horse, is a moderately heavy Austrian draught horse breed. Norikers are still used for traditional forestry, as well as farm work, carriage driving, trail riding and pleasure riding. In the Noriker horse breed there are six coat colors (bay, chestnut, black, blue roan, leopard spotted, tobiano). The Noriker is a moderately heavy mountain draught horse with a low center of gravity, sure-footed, and with a good sense of balance. The height at the withers lies between 15 to 16 hands, and their heads should be dry, tippy, and should express draught horse characteristics.
