EquusRuss's Horse
- Name
- Great Googly Moogly
- References
- Swedish Ardennais Beginning in the early 1870s, Ardennais were imported to Sweden to be crossed with native Swedish horses to create heavier stock appropriate for farming. Thoughtful selection has led to a hearty breed that is true to type. The stud book was created in 1901 and continues today. The Swedish Ardennais is a medium sized draft that stands between 15 and 16 hands. Colors include bay, chestnut, black, and roan. They are a very stout breed with a large chest, sloping, muscular shoulders, a thick neck, and sturdy legs with light feathering.
