- Lover Bay
- References
- Cleveland Bay The Cleveland Bay is said to be the oldest breed established in Britain, and is the only one that is not a heavy horse. Despite their widespread popularity and use in years past and favor with the royal family, the breed is critically endangered today. They are always Bay in color - red bay being the most desirable - and the only white permitted is on the face. They can occasionally have red legs, but this is not desired. They typically stand between 16 and 16.2 hands. They have large heads, short, strong legs, and extremely muscular shoulders. They are very popular for driving and fox hunting as they can carry a heavy rider for a long period Of time.
