- Name
- Callixtus
- References
- Spanish Jennet A favorite mount of European nobility throughout the Medieval and Renaissance periods, the Spanish Jennet is a flamboyantly colored, smooth gaiting, Spanish-type horse of similar build and type to the modern Paso Fino and Andalusian. A popular equestrian subject of historical portraits, these horses feature exotic coats with pinto/Pintado or Appaloosa/Atigrado patterns in any equine color. Spanish Jennets exhibit the convex profiling Spanish heads, thick, arched necks, strong, medium length backs, and angular croups with a medium to low tailset. Their natural gait is a four beat lateral pattern, with the same footfall as a walk. Source: Link
