References
Pintabian The Pintabian is a color breed for horses with over 99% Arabian bloodlines that exhibit the tobiano pattern. In the Arabian breed standard, the only acceptable color patterns are sabino, rabicano, and dominant white, so a foal exhibiting the tobiano pattern is not registerable. Pintabians were developed from breeding tobiano horses, of Arabian blood and from other breeds, with purebred Arabians to produce horses with the distinctive features of an Arabian, dished face, arched neck, high tailset, etc., but featuring the tobiano pattern that is not allowed in registered Arabians.
