- Dunalino Coloring in Quarter Horses Dunalino coloring is the result of a single dilution by the cream gene on the dun gene. This genotype produces a horse with the primitive markings found in the dun phenotype, dorsal stripe, leg barring, etc., but with the creamy colored coats and manes/tails more commonly seen on a palomino. White markings and blue eyes are acceptable as well. There are many stunning examples of dunalino coloring among registered Quarter Horses, notably the stallions Command Bux, Hollywood Dolby, and Major Hearts Desire. Sources: Link Link
