American sport pony
Originally a subsection of the American Warmblood registry, the American sport pony has become so popular it now has a registry of its own.
Like the American Warmblood, they are registered according to phenotype, not bloodlines. All animals undergo a thorough evaluation before being excepted into the registry, especially potential breeding stallions. They are essentially small, athletic horses with very few pony characteristics. They stand between 13.2 and 14.2 hands. They have a small, dry head cleanly attached to a long, triangular neck, flat knees, and a smooth way of going. All colors and patterns are excepted.
