Legacy Records

Please explain what the Legacy Record is and how to upload information correctly. Thanks

Legacy records are records from shows (live or photo) outside of OMHPS. Basically, it's just a place you can keep track of all of your model's placings if you choose to do so. A good way to catalogue and organize collection things all in one place.

Enter the information of the show that you want to add to a horse - (any of these, if applicable) the show name, date, division name, section name, so on, and any placings you received - so 1 for 1st place in a class, 2 for 2nd, so on. In section and champion, you can put 1 for a champion, 2 for reserve champion. After entering it, it'll come up on your horse's page and be searchable in your show records.

We will be doing a redesign on this sometime in the future, as there are things we'd like to fix and make easier to understand.

While having the capability to track show records is fantastic, it would be nice if adding legacy records could be an automated feature next to each show result instead of having to type all the information. At least the automate basic records such as show name, dates, class, placings, number of entries in class etc.

You can tell I'm not a fan of having to type alot of data. Just a thought.

But how to do that? I think only way of doing this was by having database with all existing shows, and that's impossible. There are too many shows all around the world to keep track of them and their placings.

Or I just understood something wrong. It would be best to wait for admins' input

I guess I am also somewhat confused? Any show result you get on OMHPS will be kept, always, in the horse's regular show results and is already done automatically. The Legacy Records are for show results outside of OMHPS, like live shows or photo shows held on other platforms. We have no access to any of that, of course, so there is no way for Legacy Records to be done automatically.

Ahh, I missed the part for recording shows "outside OMPHS". I guess I shouldn't be asking questions in the middle of the night 😂 sorry for the confusion 🤦‍♀️

No worries! Luckily OMHPS's show records are all kept automatically forever so there is no need to enter any of that info anywhere on the site, otherwise, that sure would be a lot of typing!
