I like Equiden's Plastic Ponies, as well as wayyyy more, I have a blog roll of nearly 20. I think my top favorite is Braymere, or maybe HorsieMama. I also love Desktop. And Breyer History Diva. And . . . so many others lol. I have a blog, but I won't be making it public until later this year. Your blog is really nice!

Off the top of my head, Lesli Kathman 's Equine Tapestry blog comes to mind. Her website has been extremely helpful to me in the past, whenever I had to research and/or confirm colours.

Chestnut Ridge is another interesting blog that I return to now and again. It ties in nicely to their website.
Their blog post "Introduction to Photo Showing" has a lot of helpful information and tips for those just getting started with photo-showing.

Bryan Menegus's (gizmodo.com) blog post "72 Hours in Model Horse Mecca" is a pretty accurate summation of the hobby per se.
It's an older post, but one that I bookmarked because I thought it one of the best well written and researched journalistic articles I’ve read about this hobby in a long time.

Breyer History Diva is another blog site I used to visit a lot -- but I no longer collect Breyers, so haven't been there in ahwile. πŸ˜‰

Thanks for posting the link to the gizmodo.com article. That was a fun read!

Mine are Model Horse Madness, Model History Diva, Model Horse Grotto, and Brittany's Breyers. I also used to love Model Horse Mania, but the writer unfortunately passed away

Dust Ponies

Sadly the author passed away in 2020; I still go back to enjoy her writing. Her blog roll also led me to other good sources.

I have a FB page for my hobby but not a blog. I've done a lot of work with blogs, so you've all inspired me to try one now. :)

My favourites seem to be already well-known round here, aside from a few friends personal hobby blogs I like Brittany's Breyers and Model Horse Madness to keep up to date with releases (it's very, very easy to fall totally out of the hobby loop if you don't use Facebook, so I rely on bloggers to know what's going on!)
Chestnut Ridge has good hobby content and quite a lot of fun, but not as regularly updated, it can fall silent for months.
Capricorn Meadows is excellent for real, 'in hand' photos of models from Breyer and CollectA, hugely useful for those of us who don't have local stockists to check releases out in person, and have to decide what to buy online only. It's in Polish but most browsers have a translate option and I've got used to the odd words it misinterprets and can read around those, hahah

I'll bookmark the ones mentioned here so far, always happy to find more model horse related reading, and I'll add personal blogs from members to that list, too. Spotted Dreams, I look forward to sitting down and going through your posts when I've got time, thank you for 'going public'!

My own blog is at https://harecrofthorses.blogspot.com/ - mostly new arrivals and customs, occasional reviews - I never seem to have time to write on other subjects or the hobby in general as I'd planned when I started, but I try to keep it up to date with every addition to my collection, whether bought in or painted from the body box.

Not a blog, but as someone who avoids Facebook as much as possible, and with a nod-nod to Harecroft's observation (and thus always ready to support an alternative), I have managed to stay pretty well in the hobby loop here: http://www.modelhorseblab.com

It's an enormous forum, and easy to get a little lost, but as a longtime lurker who follows just those threads I find relevant to my information quests, it has been quite useful. You can register for free; the paid subscription is $18/year. I subbed mainly to be able to PM the tiny handful of members I know personally.

There's even been a thread or three about favorite blogs. ;-)

My favorite blogs are Model Horse Madness, Harecroft Horses, and Desktop Stables!

I have a blog where I post model horse news, and the painting process of a few of my CMs! (I'm actually planning a show to celebrate my blog's anniversary! 😁 )

Not really a "favorite blog" subject, per say, but I thought I'd let you all know that my blog, spotteddreamsstudio.blogspot.com, currently has a giveaway running to celebrate my 1,000 blog view. Y'all are more than welcome to get yourselves entered for a set of three LSQ Traditional Scale hay bags. The drawing is only open for US residents, but I have downloadable bingo cards for international folks. They are just free, no drawing required. ;)

Edit: I cannot use the paste feature for some reason, so I cannot post links at the moment. You will have to copy and paste my URL into your browser. Sorry!
