Need Feedback on a Possible Rubber Only Draft Show

THANKS TO THOSE WHO REPLIED OR UPVOTED THIS POST. SADLY, THERE DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE ENOUGH INTEREST TO HOLD THIS SHOW SO I'LL SET THIS IDEA ASIDE AND KEEP BRAINSTORMING.

I'm curious if there would be interest in an all-rubber model DRAFT show? These guys sometimes get excluded from shows, so I thought a mini show of their own might be a fun idea. I've already run this through the Discord group and gotten a bit of interest. If you think you'd like to enter a show like this, please let me know by commenting or up-voting this post so I can gauge interest.

If enough interest is shown, I'm thinking I would split the WIA Gustavs and the Schleich/CollectA/Safari/Etc. drafts into different divisions. There would be classes for OF and Custom (since AR, China, etc. would not be a factor) for the major breeds, plus "any other pure draft breed" and "any draft+draft mix" and "any draft+other breed mix." Since I'm not familiar with the entire scope of all the rubber model draft types, the classes would probably be open to any scale.

Please share any thoughts or ideas. Also, if you'd be interested in judging certain classes or sections, let me know. We can use this thread for further discussion or information.

This sounds great! My own show is currently out for approval (should be up tomorrow) and it has several classes for rubber drafts. (It actually has an extensive rubber class list). This sounds like a good idea though, they do get excluded a lot.

It is "2022 Spotted Dreams Photo Show". :) Thanks! It has a huge class list (642!) and is for most all OF plastics and rubbers.

Okay, just checked back on responses. It's not looking like there's much interest but I'll give it a few more days to give members more time to read and respond to the post.

Thanks for your suggestion. Draft ponies could actually be entered in an Other Purebred Drafts classes, but I need to keep this a mini show so can't really add the whole array of pony classes. (Plus, I'm not as knowledgeable when it comes to judging some of the pony breeds.) :) Appreciate the feedback, though.

I think there would be a lot more interest if the show included other makes (Plastic, AR, China). :)
