Run for the Roses Thoroughbred Specialty Show has CONCLUDED!

Thanks to everyone who entered the Run for the Roses Thoroughbred Specialty Show. The show is now concluded. I hope you had a good show experience!

My goal was to have this show completed by the running of the Kentucky Derby, but due to some of the classes taking more than a day to judge, I revised that goal to completing the show before The Preakness Stakes. Mission accomplished!

Some of these classes were the toughest I've ever had to judge and there were many more models that truly deserved ribbons than I was able to pin. I tried to award between 1-5 Honorable Mentions (in comments) for some of the tougher/larger classes. I know it doesn't include any points, but wanted to acknowledge these additional Thoroughbred models were also exceptional.

I hope to make this an annual show and will be looking at the class structure to see how I can improve it in the future. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know. Thank you!
