Hosting Shows?

Saturday, April 30, 2022 9:14 PMHey
I think I read somewhere for OMHPS that you have to win shows/get a type of show-hosting currency/reward to be able to host or create your own show. Is that true?
I would like to run my own OMHPS show but is it too much work? And do you have to have anything to create one like asked above?
Thanks,
Heidi (Schleich&Breyer)

Sunday, May 1, 2022 8:38 AMIt is a lot of work, and it may take a few months to finish everything by yourself, but you can always get a volunteer judge to help you. There is a thread full of judges who are available for volunteer judging. A PSH (Private Show Hosting) token costs $5. Here is the link to more info on hosting your own show: Private show hosting - OMHPS
I hope to see a show by you in the future!

Monday, May 2, 2022 3:59 AMYou don't have to win shows to host, anyone can host a show here. Go to Shows > Private Show Hosting (thank you for linking it above, SpottedDreamsStudio!) and you can buy a show hosting token for $5. This token can be used whenever, it does not have to be used immediately. You can buy as many of these to host as many shows as you'd like.
The Private Show Hosting page has more information on how shows are set up and judged with the buttons along the top - feel free to read those at any time to see if it's something you're interested in taking on. It does take time and effort in both setting up the show and finishing the judging to conclude it, but it can be a lot of fun and many enjoy the experience :) Us admins are also always happy to help any time you need it for shows - the email inbox is always open!

Thursday, May 5, 2022 4:51 AMThankyou so much. Very useful, I'll keep it in mind.
I don't think I'll be tackling hosting a show soon though. Hehe, maybe in the future.
I think I'll stick to entering people's shows for now. I practically just started model horse showing and don't want to drown in stress too early lol. 😝
