Invalidated Show

Does anyone know why Fall time fun was invalidated?

The host/judge was highly placing their own models, then made a second account after they got called out for their behavior. The second account was doing the same thing, placing the host's models highly.

The show results can't be trusted due to the cheating, so the show was invalidated.

Thanks for the info! I was confused that my horses still had ribbons but no placing to go with it, so I knew something was up.

Yes, what equiden said is the reason. It is not acceptable to enter and place your own models due to the obvious bias issues that come with that. As such, the scores received from those placings are unfair and have been wiped from the scoreboard. You can still see the show's results on the show's page. The awarded ribbons and such will also be removed shortly (sorry!) since they don't show up in the horse's records and it doesn't make much sense to still see them.

Hopefully this is the first and last time we have to do this on OMHPS :)

Ok thanks! I'm pretty disappointed, because my horses actually did pretty well for once 😂 but if cheating was involved I completely support the decision to invalidate the show. Hopefully this doesn't happen again!

Another show has just concluded where the host/judge has entered and placed their own models. I've been dithering over whether to say anything, but decided to go ahead, especially since it was not free to enter.

Would be a good idea to contact OMHPS directly. It's a shame that this has happened again!

This has been handled - unfortunate it was necessary! Just in case anyone wanted to be sure, this is clearly outlined in our Private Show Hosting Guidelines.

If you ever see anything like this, please do email omhps@omhps.com to report it and we will deal with it. In this case, the show is already concluded so the only option is to invalidate the results, which is a shame for all the entrants who paid to join in. If it is caught while the show is still judging, there is a chance we can speak with the host/judge and fix the situation. We always give hosts the benefit of the doubt that maybe they just weren't aware this is considered cheating or unfair, and can remove their models and redo placings. Not possible this time, sadly. Regardless we always appreciate when this is brought to our attention.

I’m bummed about this because I got a section champion 🙂 so sad this happens though. Thanks for explaining.
