Breyer 2025 releases

What does everyone think of the 2025 releases from Breyer, if you've seen them? I kind of like the way they've incorporated decorator patterns with realistic colours for some of the Traditional scale models. I HATE both of the new classic decorators. I like Big Lex, the new blue decorator on the Emerson mould. I like the new bull, and I LOVE both of the Stablemates sets. I am completely OBSESSED with the 30th anniversary Cloud and Riptide mould. I think it's interesting how they've broken their pattern in first releasing new sculpts in the Premier Club, then they're either BreyerFest Special Runs the next year, or BreyerFest Limited Editions that year, then the year after they're regular runs. For example, when Fireheart was released in the Premier Club in 2021, the mould was THEN a special run for 2022 (Stein) and then released as a regular run in 2023 (Mojave). I like the moulds they've chosen for the Traditional scale decorator-ish models (they've chosen Esprit, Lonesome Glory and the Western Horse). I love the moulds they've chosen for one of the Stablemates sets (they've chosen the mini Othello, Django, Darwin, and mini Fireheart). For the other set they've chosen mini Croi, Lyric, mini Georg, mini Zafirah, Kit, Cassidy, Prince Charming and that rearing up guy that was released in the Stablemates a couple years ago and we haven't seen a regular run on yet, so basically I like their choices for the other set as well. I like the buckskin addition to their Ideal Series. I love Ophelia.

So basically I want almost all of them, particularly the Traditionals and Stablemates.

I'm not into decorators at all, so there's a lot for me to ignore this year - in fact, only three releases I'll get!

The new Cloud will be one of them, I don't have any of the previous Clouds (although I do have a few of his family members from the Classic scale sets), and I much prefer the Desatado mould to any of his other portrait models.

I also look forward to getting Riptide, it's a shame the first regular run on this mould isn't a Welsh Cob model, but in that colour/marking combo he'd work just fine as a Welsh anyway if we wanted to swap his breed back for showing!

And for the mini scale, the Deluxe Stablemates set will be on my to-buy list - probably two boxfuls, one set to keep OF, and one to repaint, as there's so many moulds making their regular run debut!

I like a few decorators (however Cora, Gilded, and the 90s throwback horse are possibly the worst Breyers of all time, in my opinion). I am definitely getting Riptide, I think it is annoying how they didn't make him a Welshy as well, I agree that we could definitely swap his breed though! I am also getting Cloud, I also don't have any of the Cloud models so far either, so he'd be a good edition! As for the deluxe SM set, definitely on my wishlist! I agree about the moulds, I am SO glad that they're finally releasing an RR on the Fjord and mini Georg! I would definitely buy two boxes of them if I painted... I wish I had that talent! I think the detail in the non-decorator releases makes up for the lack of models! The shading on Riptide is just 🤌
