- The judges’ decisions are final.
- Please be courteous to judges and fellow competitors so everyone has an enjoyable show experience!
HALTER DIVISIONS
There are six Halter Divisions including OF Large and Mini, Custom Large and Mini, AR/Custom Glaze China Large and Mini. Rubber models (CollectA, WIA, etc.) are included in both OF and Custom divisions.
Halter Sections have many classes for various draft breeds broken down by region, breed and, for some of the more popular breeds, coat patterns. In addition, there will also be classes for Irish Cobs (Vanners, Tinkers), purebred draft type ponies and carriage horses. Each section has a class for purebred Foals that pertain to that section. A separate section in each division is devoted to Grade Drafts, Crossbred Drafts, and Draft Longears (classes by body type) and for those foal types in a Foals class.
ACTION DIVISION
Action classes are Halter classes by pose type - standing, walking, trotting, etc. Any model that is eligible to be entered in the standard Halter Division classes (including draft foals, draft ponies, carriage horses, draft grades and crosses, and draft longears) are welcome to enter any class. There are two sections for Large and Mini scales.
COLORS! DIVISIONS
Colors! Divisions have Workmanship classes for Large and Mini scales, broken down by coat colors and/or patterns. Any model eligible to enter the breed Halter classes is welcome to enter these classes, including draft foals, draft ponies, draft grades and crosses, and draft longears.

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 11:48 AMQuick question:
Where do Drum Horses and American Drum Horses go? Some shows want them in mixed/grade draft but I can also see mixed medium draft or carriage being possibilities. The show is letting them into various classes so I thought I would just ask.
Thx!

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 12:23 PMNot the show holder but I've just finished entering this show myself, so I can answer this question - there's a class specially for Drum Horses in the North American Drafts section :)

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 12:34 PMYou are right :) I was just coming back to say I found it...
I have one who is a Drum, not American Drum, so still wondering about him.

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 1:22 PMThanks so much for your question.
UK Drum horses should go in G. Suffolk Punch/Other Pure UK Draft Breeds class in the UK Draft Section, however I've found an issue with the class criteria and have sent a request to the admin asking for corrections. The requirements should have been set to soft (Suffolk Punch with "Strict Breeds: No") so that other pure UK draft breeds without another designated class such as your UK Drum Horse can enter. Once this is corrected, I'll post an update here and send you a private message via this forum.
For the American Drum Horses, they have a specific class in the North American Draft Section of each Division. Let me know if you're having any issues getting yours entered and I'll check those, too.
You also noted: "The show is letting them into various classes so I thought I would just ask."
There are a number of classes - mainly for mixed breed types or unrestricted breed crosses - where the breed criteria must be left unrestricted to allow for all possible draft crosses or types. That's probably why your models are showing eligible for others classes.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for entering the Autumn Thunder Draft Show. :)

Wednesday, October 2, 2024 2:45 AMIs anyone else having trouble entering a color class? I have a flaxen chestnut who's evidently ineligible for that class, and I'm not sure why. Everything in his record looks correct. :-/

Wednesday, October 2, 2024 9:16 AMThis one I can answer... You need to edit his workmanship page to mark his color as 'solid'. I don't bother doing that usually but found I needed to for the color classes in this show.

Wednesday, October 2, 2024 12:41 PMHi Peg,
Thanks for your question. Freemanstables has supplied the most likely answer to this situation. It's really easy to miss the "solid" designation in the workmanship criteria when selecting the color (it's near the bottom of the criteria, I believe), and the solid color classes were set to solid so if this box is not checked, your model would not show up as eligible.
If so, making this change by doing an edit and selecting "solid" under the Workmanship tab should make the model eligible.
Let me know if you have any further problems or question about the show.
Thanks so much for entering the Autumn Thunder '24 Draft Specialty Show.

Wednesday, October 2, 2024 1:19 PMFreemanstables, the admin should have now corrected the Suffolk Punch/Other Pure UK Drafts classes in all six standard halter divisions. Thanks for letting me know about this issue. Please let me know if you have any other problems when entering the classes.
I also sent you a PM via the Forum.
Many thanks!
