Question on updating info to the new system

Sunday, September 29, 2024 8:46 AMHello, to the admin team of OMHPS! Congratulations on getting all the Breyer, Stone and Artist Resin brands & materials updated for us, there's really not many I'm having to deal with myself!
But I've got one question : which option on the Classification menu is meant for our original finish WIA and Collecta models?
I've been using Original Finish Craft Rubber for my Julips, because of the word craft in there making it seem the obvious place for those and similar hand-made one-of-a-kind models made by small businesses of one or two craftspeople at a time - they were always traditionally described as 'craft' for live and photo showing before. And they really are rubber, so I'm pretty sure I'm putting those in the right place.
But my OF WIA and Collecta have auto-updated to also show in the Original Finish Craft Rubber classification (and I'm assuming Schleich too - I don't have any in my showstring here but I'm guessing everything from the old 'OF Rubber' category has been auto-updated to the same classification?) Only, they're a very different type of model, not just the material, but also by being mass produced and sold worldwide - not remotely related to the 'you call the owner of the company and they make what you want in their home workshop' type of true craft rubber models, hahah!
I'm assuming you're still keeping the CollectA/Schleich/WIA/Mojo/Safari/etc PVC models away from the Original Finish Plastic ones, so people can set up show classes for the usual Breyer and Stone plastics of the mainstream model horse world, without the other brands being eligible too. Unless they do count as OF plastic as their overall classification, but then the show holder can select which brands are in or out for their classes using the Manufacturer option instead?
I've put them down as 'Other OF Classification' for now, not because it sounds like the exact right place, but just as a temporary spot to hold them all together away from my craft rubber and breyer/stone plastics, til someone can clarify where they ought to be!

Monday, September 30, 2024 6:32 AMGreat question! They should be with the Original Finish Craft Rubber, as they are Original Finish (meaning factory finish, whether that be mass produced or in smaller runs/OOAKs). To remove further confusion about this, we removed the word "craft" from the name and added "PVC" (since most "rubber" brands like Schleich are actually PVC or similar) so it's just Original Finish Rubber/PVC now. This includes models made of rubber, PVC, latex, and similar pliable materials.
