What materials can mimic nylon for tack making?

So does anyone know any material that would mimic the look of nylon or sythetic tack without being super expensive or hard to find? I seen a video where someone used thicker tulle, but they only used it for a few pieces of the tack set, I don't think it would work for something like a saddle. I seen two different listings on Joann's for some cheap nylon, but one of them only comes in black and white, and the other's supposedly being discontinued. I wanted to make an endurance set for one of my stablemates and from a couple of the articles I found, people are starting to prefer synthetic tack for endurance instead of leather since it holds up better.

Maybe some type of polyester ribbed ribbon/tape?

Something like this maybe?

Or even this:

I'm pretty sure you can get this at most fabric/sewing stores...

Good luck!

I might have to try that next time I can get to a store that sells ribbon, I didn't think they made it that wide.
