Section

Division

Description
All chestnut horses, flaxen or otherwise. Shades can vary from sandy, almost palomino to such dark concentrated red pigment that the horse looks black. The body can range from very light to very dark red, nearly black. A telltale signature of a chestnut horse is a lack of black tips on the ears and lighter coloring on the pasterns (can be very slight). The skin is black but other than that there are no black points. No greys or roans in this class; No pintos or appaloosas in this class. Solid only.
