- Falabella Originally developed in Argentina Beginning in the mid-1800s, the Falabella has become popular in the United States and Europe and is one of the tiniest horse breeds in existence. They typically stand between 30 and 34 inches tall. They are proportioned much like horses but retain some Cob-like characteristics such as a larger head, stout neck, short back, and abundant hair. All colors and patterns are seen.
