- Name

- References
- The Rhenish draft horse originated in West Germany and have a sturdy build with a thick neck, powerful hindquarters, strong legs and some feather. They were developed for heavy farm work and have a calm, steady personality. While mostly roan, flaxen chestnuts can be found. After suffering a decline following the conflicts and mechanization of the early 20th century the population has steadily increased to over eleven hundred in recent years. Their common uses are carriage driving, forestry and farmwork and for leisure. Link Photo credit:Link
