Dark chocolate
When standing hackneys should have an alert expression with their head and neck raised. They should have clear eyes, strong, sloping shoulders, well sprung ribs, flat joints in the legs, and visible tendons in the legs. Long forearms with short, clean cannon bones is ideal. The pasterns are fairly long, set at the correct angle for a light and springy step. The length from the stifle to the hock should be a good with short cannon bones.
