References
Norwegian Fjord The Norwegian Fjord is the oldest Norwegian breed of horse, having been selectively bred for over 2,000 years. The Fjord served as both a war mount and a farm horse for the native Vikings, as well as Western Europe. Standing between 13 and 14.1 hands, the Fjord is easily recognizable with its distinctive dun coloring and primitive markings. The dorsal stripe begins in the center of the forelock and runs through the mane, back, and to the tail, producing the coloration of the mane, which is traditionally cut in a crescent shape. These ponies are known for their clean lines, athletic builds, and gentle nature. They excel in many equine sports, from jumping to driving, despite their small stature. Source: Link
