References
The Württemberger is one of the many warmblood breeds produced in Germany, developed in the same region as the Black Forest Horse at the famous Marbach State Stud. These horses were originally bred to be a multipurpose mount used for both riding and farm work. Later the breed was refined into the lighter riding horse seen today. The Württemberger has an easy going nature, athletic ability, and versatility. With careful breed guidelines and complete records of breed registries, Germany is one of the top producers of sport horses today, and Württembergers can be found competing in a variety of disciplines from show jumping to dressage.
