Freeman's Sahara
Sahara is sentimental to me because of his age. I found him at Goodwill earlier this year. He's older than the moon landing! He has seen so much and has had so many adventures as a treasured toy. His story as told by himself is linked under References. Sheik, Arabian Stallion circa 1958-60, OF Breyer #13. His having no mold stamp dates this horse to 1958-9, as the first stamp appeared in 1960.

- Freeman's Sahara
- References
- Link Sahara represents an older type of Arabian than the current fashion. His neck is arched but not excessively long or slim, and his head is elegant and dished but not "extreme". He would best represent a Crabbet or Polish Arabian of the mid-20th century or even earlier. "Old-style" Polish Arabian stallion Parador (a/o 2024) demonstrates a modern version of the type: Link
