- Rhenish German Coldblood The Rhenish German Coldblood originates from the Prussian State Stud in the Rhineland region of Western Germany. These heavy draft horses are most commonly bay and roan, but occasionally chestnut, with black or flaxen points and heavy manes, tails, and feathering. They are quite substantial in frame, with a short, thick neck and close coupled but wide body. Their powerful musculature and docile temperaments make them an ideal breed for many types of agricultural work and hobby disciplines. Source: Link
