Hagen-Renaker Monrovia "Sespe Violette," a Belgian mare (yes it is a mare), sculpted by Maureen Love for H-R. This is an exceptionally nice version with excellent shading and tri-colored eyes. H-R did not keep records of numbers made, but two people with longtime contacts to the factory (Kristina Lucas Francis and Joan Berkwitz) have speculated that H-R produced no more than 500 "regular run" pieces per sculpture.
