- The Beoudin Asil Arabians are the founders of the Arabian breed today. Their most distinctive feature that sets them apart from other Arabian families, is that they did not always have a dished face. Traditionally the Beoudins bred for endurance and speed rather than looks. Dished faced Arabians have been documented in historical artwork, however, it did not become a trend until Raffles* entered the scene.
