Much of the appearance of the thoroughbred reflects the Arabian influence in this breed. The thoroughbred has wide-spaced eyes and has a lean build perfect for racing. Most thoroughbreds have long necks, defined withers and a short back. These horses have sloped, well muscled shoulders. Long, muscular legs are ideal. This horse can be bay, black, chestnut, brown, roan, grey, palomino or white. These horses careers as racehorses are short so they can be re trained for eventing.
