"Are all Haflingers palominos?
Haflingers are not palomino at all! Their unique coat color is actually chestnut with a flaxen modifier for the mane and tail. Because the chestnut and flaxen are both recessive, both traits are consistently passed down when Haflingers are bred. Haflingers also usually have a Pangare or “mealy” coat modifier, which is apparent when their legs, bellies, and nose are lighter in color than their bodies."
