References
The Japanese Draft Horse is more of a group of three types rather than an actual breed. Each type takes on the features of the founding breeds: The Breton, The Percheron, and The Belgian. These horses are most well-known for the Ban-ei races that are similar to draft pulling competitions in the terms of testing one individual's endurance and strength to pull a weighted sled (called a Sori) over a hilly dirt track. The White Spotting Pattern 17 was founded by the Japanese Draft Horse Mare, Hakubahime (born 2010).
