References: Finn Horse The Finn Horse has a generally solid build; dry and strongly-muscled, with good hooves and strong bone, but physique varies because of their different body types. (Draft, trotting, riding, and pony.) they have thick manes and tails and light feathering. They have a straight profile, a well shaped, proportional neck, a somewhat sloping croup, and a generally rounded appearance. They are usually chestnut but can also be black, gray, silver dapple, roan, Palomino, and buckskin. The draft type Finhorse is the oldest of all of the sections. The four different sections of the stud book are fairly similar, with some horses being registered in multiple sections. The draft type tends to be somewhat larger with a longer build than the other sections. They are a small draft horse - averaging 15.2 hands - but among the strongest for their body size.
