References
German Classic Pony The creation of the Classic Pony began in the 1960s when people crossed British and American Shetlands to create a somewhat taller, more refined pony. It was recognized as a separate breed in the year 2000. They typically stand at about 11 hands tall and the most common colors are flaxen chestnut and silver dapple, although all colors are recognized. They are somewhat slimmer and more refined than Shetland pony‘s and have very docile, willing personalities. They’re typically used as mounts for children and for driving.
