References: Four Pinto Patterns exist in the Thoroughbred Horse -- Dominant White, Sabino, Frame Overo, and Splash White. Sabino is the more common Pinto pattern. The former racehorse, "Full Moon Rising" is a perfect example of a chestnut Sabino. Sabino is a white spotting pattern that can be found in different breeds of horses, including Thoroughbreds.
