References
Brindle The brindle pattern is exceptionally rare in horses and can happen for a few different reasons. In the case of Josie, it is likely an extensive somatic mutation. It could, theoretically, also be because she is a chimera, but only a handful of Chimera horses have ever been known to exist. Danish Warmblood The Danish Warmblood is the youngest of the European warmbloods. The registry was opened in 1963 and was created with Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Frederiksborg, and Anglo Norman horses with the goal of creating a higher quality sport horse. They are extremely successful at high levels of competition in dressage, show jumping and other sports. They are one of the lighter warmbloods, with noticeable Thoroughbred characteristics. They have good action, a long shoulder, deep chest, and compact back. All solid colors are excepted and they typically stand between 15.3 and 17 hands.
