Contacting Show Hosts

When I click the link for a show host, I am going no where it seems. Should I be linked to the individual? Also how do I private message someone? This forum is complicated.

I agree, the messaging system seems a little convoluted. Currently the system is set up so that when you click a show's 'Contact show host' you get a pop-up with contact info.

Depending on what choices the user selected when they set up their profile page, you should see their contact info (email address) or "Send host a message on the Forums" (which leads back to the user's Forum profile page).

It's up to the show host/user to add their contact info to their forum profile page. If they've filled out their profile correctly, you should see the contact info on their forum profile page, i.e.

• Send [name of user] a private message
• Send [name of user] an e-mail message

Unable to contact show host. No answer to email. Can't figure out how to send PM as message form will not allow me to enter name. Can enter subject and message, but not name, even if I try to send message from the person's own page.

Hi, I can help you with the PM part! You need to click the "To" button on the form, instead of the white box. After you click "To" you'll be able to search the user's name from a list. :)

Thanks. Okay. I did not get a search list, but did get a search field and typed in the show host name. No confirmation that message sent. Will see what happens. She has not answered email either and show closes in 3 days. Wish me luck.

I agree - the forum messaging system is awkward to use.. and convoluted.

If you want to send someone a private message through this forum, that person must first fill out their profile correctly, and include their email address in their profile, under their main account settings. They must also make sure the "Show your profile details.." checkbox is checked, so that other users can contact.

For example, if you click on my username above, you should see my contact info:

• Full Profile | Send Private Message | Send E-mail | Visit user Web site

PS: (clicking on your username 'DandiKandi' reveals nothing = no contact info, no email..nada. You might want to update your profile settings😉)
