Attention: Autumn Thunder Draft Specialty Show Participants

If you’ve entered this show, quite a few models have been placed in the wrong classes.

In order to avoid disqualification, please check your entries and move if needed, by using the “retract” button in the incorrect class and then re-entering them in the correct class. (The show doesn’t close until October 25, so you have some time.)

Be sure you are entering the correct halter division according to type and scale:

Traditional/Classic OF Draft Division | Mini OF Draft Division | AR/CM Draft Division-All Scales | Draft Foal Division-All Scales/Finishes.

A few things to watch for:

• Breed classes are for purebreds only. Mixed or grade draft breeds should only be entered in the most appropriate class in the Other Drafts section.
• Clydesdales should be in one of two Clydesdale classes (UK Drafts Section) – sabino or solid.
• Norikers should be in one of two Noriker classes (European Drafts Section) - patterned or solid.
• Percherons should be in the French Breeds class (European Drafts Section).
• Purebred Irish Cobs and Cleveland Bays can go in the UK Drafts section, Other Purebred UK Draft Breeds class.
• Carriage breed entries of draft type (Friesian, etc.) can be entered in the Other Drafts Section, All Other Pure Drafts class, but depending on the model, may not be competitive against true draft types.
• Draft foals should only be in the in the DRAFT FOALS division for halter (all scales and types).

Follow-up note. I decided to use the stewarding option to move entries to the correct classes, to avoid disqualifications where possible. If any of your entries were moved to a different class, you should have received a notice through the OMHPS system.

Please note that the stewarding phase is now ended, though participants will still be able to move their entries to different classes as needed until the show closes on 10/25.

To better show the class structure, here's an outline.

There are four halter divisions and one special division:

Traditional/Classic OF Draft Division

Mini OF Draft Division

AR/CM Draft Division-All Scales

Draft Foal Division-All Scales/Finishes

Special Photo Division ("Other Performance" - two sections)

For your reference, here is an outline of the class structure in each division (except Special Photo "Performance" Division):

UK DRAFTS

• Clydesdales – Solid
• Clydesdales – Sabino Patterned (pattern extending beyond legs or head area)
• Shires – Solid
• Shires – Sabino Patterned (pattern extending beyond legs/head)
• Suffolk Punch
• Other Pure UK Draft Breeds (Irish Cob, Drum Horse, etc.)

EUROPEAN DRAFTS

• Noriker – Solid
• Noriker – Patterned (leopard complex or other allowable Noriker pattern)
• Belgian/Brabant
• French Draft Breeds – Percheron, Ardennes, Boulannais, etc.
• Other Pure European Breeds (Friesians--a heavy carriage horse--are acceptable here or in Other Drafts/All Other Pure Draft Breeds)

AMERICAN DRAFTS

• North American Spotted Draft
• Sugarbush/Sendera Draft – leopard
• Sugarbush/Sendera Draft – other blanket or solid color
• American Drum Horse Draft
• Other Pure American Drafts (American Cream, American Belgian, etc.)

OTHER DRAFTS

• Australian Draughts/Drafts
• Irish Draughts
• Draft Ponies (includes Haflinger, Welch Section D, etc.)
• All Other Pure Draft Breeds (not covered in other sections)
• All Other Grade or Mixed Draft (Draft + Draft) Crosses
• Draft + Other Breed Sport Horse Cross
• All Other Draft + Non-Draft Cross (includes Draft+Pony, Draft+QH, etc.)
